Jet Boeke made her first Dikkie Dik picture book for the television program Sesame Street. On 3 March 1978, Dikkie Dik first appeared on television. Since then he has stolen the hearts of toddlers and their parents and can no longer be ignored from Dutch culture.

For the past 40 years, Jet Boeke has been illustrating and writing hundreds of stories.
